Catchy Names For An Ice Cream Parlour

the illegitimate

Gloria Gaitan Today
defined my vote for the next 27, when a query made in Colombia to choose from - by popular vote - the names of candidates who have applied, themselves and within their own parties, as candidates for the post of presidents.

will not vote for Gustavo Petro, as he had expected, it is now telling us that "the legitimate president Uribe of Colombia" and everything to accommodate the polls showing the rejection of the Colombian people by Chavez - because he censored - as their direct ancestors yesterday censured and hated mostly to Bolivar, while Ladino preferred to Santander, because the look of the Liberator was the greatness of a great continent united and strong - that required face the enemy with arms - And because, today, Chavez dares to point out accurately that Colombia's domestic policies affect the Latin American continent and the project never buried an eagerly awaited unit.

dictionary of the English Royal Academy defines legitimate as an adjective meaning "fair, allowed, according to justice and reason" and also "true, genuine and true in any line."

None of this is Uribe. It is true that he was chosen through elections in this pantomime pseudo democratic we are under - the "democratic imaginary" - where in Colombia won the most buying consciences or using weapons to intimidate those who do not bow to their election plans. Petro Does not heard the statements of the great lords of the paramilitaries who have confessed that forced people with guns and chainsaws in hand, to vote for their candidate, Alvaro Uribe Velez? Did more than half Congress is now on trial because they were elected thanks to agreements made claims that political support for the paramilitaries with which, in turn, supported President Uribe and they did? Will Uribe's reelection is not vitiated by all the tricks, traps, and violations of the Act, that had never before lived Colombia?

And now comes Gustavo Petro say that Uribe is the legitimate president of Colombia! Emphasizing the term to trust him our international policy. No more needed! We still have some dignity and lucidity.

Mariano Ospina Perez also became president of Colombia by voting, which did not prevent created - thanks to the technical support of Scotland Yard - the paramilitaries that people ended up nicknamed "chulavitas." Ospina's government was illegitimate because then opened the veins of violence that still bleed to Colombia. He also became president Misael Pastrana Borrero, no one he did not know that thanks to electoral fraud. Give legitimacy to those governments, including the spurious Uribe, and to do someone claiming to represent left-wing forces in Colombia, is a bold and an offense that is done to those who struggle day after day, risking their lives, to denounce the illegality and arbitrariness of the scheme.

is no longer the santafereño oligarchy that manipulates the view of this country, as in the days of Bolivar and of - a bad time - Santander vice president. Now is the narco-paramilitarism which has led to one of their own so-called "throne of Bolivar." But, basically, nothing has changed, because they the same look and provincial cut that prevents them from recognizing the importance of a continental project. They have the historical, moral or intellectual to cope with a major proposal. For them it is only possible to manage the spaces where they can touch and see the fences that divide, separate and weaken.

's thesis give the "favor" to Uribe to design our foreign policy is, that yes, an illegitimate position, embarrasses the left. The result will be at the polls on September 27 when its electoral fade away because it has hurt the fight against Uribe left, while right and center ever timid applaud its siren song, because they believe more in the opinion of Attorney - Opus Dei item chosen by a vote of Petro in exchange for gifts promeseras - who dares to say that there is sufficient evidence in the films that brought the prosecution, showing how they came to save thirteen people who were later tortured and killed by the military under General Plazas, military trial today and said guilty by the prosecution. For this Attorney was, oh heresy!, An M-19 assault - in which militant Petro - allied with the drug ... live to see. We want no more

likes of Santander, who, after having shot cowardly English prisoners to be exchanged for Bolivar wanted fighters for independence, appealed to a supposed legitimacy shysters, accommodating and shyster, to defeat the vast horizons of Bolivar that today make us so much.

Zoo Chorzów Wydra Maćiek

Sorry for the inconvenience.

me share some questions, flies buzz my head.

Is it fair justice? Are you standing on your feet a just world upside down?

The Zapatista Iraq, which gave the Zapatazos against Bush, was sentenced to three years in prison. Do not you deserve, rather, a medal?

Who is the terrorist? Does the shoe or shoe? Not guilty of terrorism, the serial killer that lie invented the Iraq war, killed a mob and legalized torture and ordered to apply?

guilty
Are the people of Atenco, Mexico, or the Mapuche Indians of Chile, or the Kekchi of Guatemala, or Brazil's landless peasants, accused all of terrorism to defend their right
to earth? If the land is sacred, although the law does not say, are not sacred, too, who defend?

According to the magazine Foreign Policy, Somalia is the most dangerous of all. But who are the pirates? Will starving that assault ships or Wall Street speculators, who have spent years
storming the world and are now getting multi-million dollar rewards for their labors?

Why
Why the world rewards those who pillage?

why justice is blind in one eye? Wal Mart, the most powerful company of all, bans trade unions. McDonald's, too. Why do these companies violate with impunity offender, the law
internationally? Is it because in the world of work is worth our time unless the garbage is worth much less the rights of workers?

Who are the righteous and the unrighteous who? If international justice really exists, why have not judged the powerful? Prisoners are not the authors of the most ferocious butchers. Is it because it is they who hold the keys of prisons?
To continue reading click to read more

Why are untouchable the five powers that have the right veto in the UN? Is that right has divine origin? Velan for peace "that make the business of war? Is it fair that world peace is in charge of the five major powers who are
producing
weapons? Without underestimating the drug, is not this also a case of "organized crime"?

But do not demand punishment against the masters of the world, cries of those who demand everywhere, the penalty death. Of course. The cries cry out against the murderers who use knives, not against
using missiles.

And you wonder: since these vigilantes are so mad desire to kill Why not demand the death penalty against social injustice? Is it just a world that minutes allocated three million dollars in military spending, while fifteen die every minute
children from starvation or curable disease? Against whom is armed, to the teeth, the so-called international community? Against poverty or
against the poor?

fervent Why capital punishment does not require the death penalty against the values \u200b\u200bof the consumer society, which daily threaten public safety? Or do not invite crime
the bombing stunning advertising to millions and millions of unemployed or poorly paid, repeating them day and night to be is to have, own a car, have branded shoes, take, take, and
who has not, not is?

Why not implant the death penalty against death? The world is organized in the service of death. Or does not make death
military industry, which consumes most of our resources and much of our energy? The masters of the world only condemn
violence when exercised by others. And this monopoly of violence results in an inexplicable to the aliens, and unbearable for the land that we are still against any
evidence survival: humans are the only animals specialized in mutual extermination, and have developed a technology that is annihilating destruction, by the way, the planet
and all its inhabitants.

This technology feeds on fear. It is fear which manufactures enemies to justify police and military waste. And in train to implement the death penalty, what if we condemn to death to fear? Would not it be healthy to end this frightening universal dictatorship
professional? The sowers of panic we are doomed to loneliness, we prohibit solidarity: every man for himself, each aplastaos
others, the neighbor is always a danger that lurks, eye, very careful, he will steal, it will rape you, this stroller a bomb hidden Muslim and whether she looks at you, that innocent-looking neighbor, is sure to spread you swine.

In the world upside down, afraid even the most basic acts of justice and common sense. When President Evo Morales started the re-founding of Bolivia, for this country's indigenous majority leave
be ashamed to look in the mirror, caused panic. This challenge was disastrous from the point of view of traditional racist order, claiming to be the only possible order: Evo was brought chaos and violence, and because of her national unity would burst, broken into pieces. And when Ecuador's President Correa announced that he refused to pay legitimate debts, the news caused terror in the financial world and Ecuador was threatened with dire punishment, being given such a bad example. If the military dictatorships
and thieving politicians have always been pampered by international banks, have we not already accustomed to accept as inevitable destiny of the people who pay the club hits and greed
loot it?

But will they have been divorced forever common sense and justice?

Is not born to walk together, very closely, common sense and justice?

Is not common sense and justice, that slogan of feminists who say that if we, the males get pregnant, abortion would be free? Why not legalize the right
abortion? Is it because then no longer the privilege of women who can afford it and doctors who can collect it?

The same applies to another scandalous case denial of justice and common sense: why not legalize drugs? Is not as
abortion, a public health issue? And the country that contains drug, what is moral authority to condemn those who supply
your claim? Why the mainstream media, as enshrined in the war against the scourge of drugs, never say
comes from Afghanistan almost all the heroin consumed in the world? Who's in charge in Afghanistan? Is not that a country militarily occupied by the country that is attributed messianic mission to save us all?

Why not legalize drugs is a good time? Could it be because they provide the best pretext for military invasions, as well as providing the most handsome profits to the big banks at night working as laundries?

Now the world is sad because they are sold fewer cars. One consequence of the global crisis is the decline of the thriving automotive industry. If we had any other sense, and
little something of the sense of justice should not we celebrate this good news? Or is the decline in cars is not good news, from the point of view of nature, which is a
slightly less poisonous, and pedestrians, who will die a little less?

According to Lewis Carroll, the Queen said to Alice how justice works in wonderland:

"There you are," said the Queen. Is locked up in prison serving his sentence, but the trial did not begin until next Wednesday. And of course, crime will be committed at the end.

In El Salvador, Archbishop Oscar Arnulfo Romero found that justice, as the snake only bites the barefoot. He died with bullets, they complain that in his country were born barefoot in advance convicted for the crime of birth.

The result of the recent elections in El Salvador, is not somehow a homage? A tribute to Archbishop Romero and the thousands who like He died fighting for a fair justice in the kingdom
of injustice?

Sometimes the wrong end of history stories, but her history does not end. When you say goodbye, say goodbye.

What about teachers? Insults

pursued first teacher I met was a teacher at the same time served as director of the library in my neighborhood, a dream that was gradually built by my mother. It was a late night of 70, despite the cold morning coming down the ravine Zapamanga, the patch was hot outside the house, I went to school to study Santander, as the soldier told him that I stopped at a corner and seized the Atletico Bucaramanga tula he used as a school bag.

Until that morning I knew it was not a raid, had not ever seen so many soldiers together in the neighborhood. Upon returning from school discovered my mother country, I spoke about torture, the security status of missing political prisoners, as they were from that day the teacher librarian and her husband neighborhood. Were the foreshadowing of the dirty war in the heyday of social movements in Colombia.

The fate of our teachers has not changed much over the years, the state terrorism took umbrage with this union in the departments of Cauca, Nariño, Putumayo and Antioquia. Also on the Atlantic coast, where even the narco-paramilitarism took over management of some universities like Cordoba. The perhaps best known case was the murder in 2004 of Professor Alfredo Correa de Andreis, in the city of Barranquilla, as a result of synergy between the DAS gangster and death squads.

So far in 2009 at least 11 teachers have been killed. In the past 22 years nearly a thousand teachers were killed. In the period between 2006 and so far in 2009, 84 teachers have been killed and 120 more threatened, according to figures from Fecode and the Escuela Nacional Sindical. Many have been displaced from their jobs to escape the gunmen and their threats.

in higher education is shifting from a strong tendency organized repression of the student body to the coercion of the entire university community, counting with the connivance of senior administrative positions, as evidenced by the case of the president of the UIS Jaime Alberto Pico Camacho, who remains in office, despite being caught red-handed as to agreements with a paramilitary gunman by telephone.

recent months attended to a witch hunt on college professors and intellectuals, who are routinely accused of belonging to the guerrilla. It looks everywhere alias "Professor." Victims of state retaliation share a high degree of training, a critical opinion about the reality of the country and some proposals to change from their professional performance as teachers.

The Inquisition has been imprisoned and make it look like criminals, through the official media, a recognized in academia, researchers and teachers, as Miguel Angel Beltran, William Javier Diaz, Fredy Obando Liliany Cortes, the latter also single mother of two children. Now we say that these scholars combined their research and dissertations with the planting of land mines on the moor of Sumapaz, and they were also responsible for sophisticated logistics networks, recruitment and intelligence of a guerrilla apparently almost exterminated.

intelligence offices, security advisers and address of the integral action blocks intellectuals have recreated the FARC guerrillas seeking alternative means of communication, progressive political sectors and teachers. It is criminalizing criticism of a planned manner and opinion. Orwell would fall short to describe the ability of control and intimidation in this regime traquetos political power.

The idea is to bring a reproach from prison to as many people as possible opponents to set a precedent, endorsed by a sick society, that think, criticize, question and propose changes is criminal. So that, in the 140 prisons in the country and can not be more people there are crammed 60,175 people, of which 7,200 are now political prisoners.

The propaganda apparatus of the state and the media constantly build fear and oiled the national paranoia that allows the evil is seen as benevolent and different, dissident or opposition as a threatening monster that deserves death and closure.

This explains why a black woman who intends to fix the country through agreements and dialogue is spit in his face, shouting threats and insults him sexist and racist in airplanes and airports, and a singer who organizes concerts peace be called guerrilla and without borders.

We dive into seas of ignorance, others criticize without even knowing who we are, what we want or to where we directed. Hollow "Of Villains, a Heroes" .... Who would want to lie the imperialist Coca-Cola?

In a statement, made sight of workers at the plant in Cali, gringo origin company tries to hide the true nature of extermination, scorched-earth policy against the workers of Coca-Cola, a liar who seeks to deceive communication not know who, because workers are not any

"idiots" as they think. Boasting of innocence, want to go from villain to hero using the nonsense of the decision of the court of Southern District of Florida in the U.S., legalistic instance that "exonerated" the company imperialism for their crimes against workers in Colombia. Perhaps could one expect justice from this court? Of course not. Of those bodies, whether national or foreign, as in this case, nothing else can be expected, since the judges are dedicated to serve and strengthen the bourgeois state, ready to defend the interests logically rancid social class they represent, for further squeezing the working class worldwide.

As union said in a statement: "The situation of workers of Coca-Cola in Colombia remains
difficult, more than 80% contract and precarious, layoffs continue, implement ways to keep the wages of workers - continue to be victims of death threats. " So
do not come now to try to hide its repressive policies, anti-labor, anti-union, as Coca-Cola embodies the most brutal of capitalism, is part of the whole system and as such appropriate action does not matter who you have to be ahead and what need to use media.

Do not intend to move from villains to heroes covered in the dead letter of a court at your service!
his villainy is so great that no other reason advanced by the company's workers raises the unemployment imperialist production by direct recruitment, for stability, general rise in wages, decent life ... in alliance with the townships for services public with housing activists, withthe displaced, the indigenous movement and the rural poor.

Why Do My Calves Ache

An Open Letter to Students: Make a Difference in Insults

Alice Woodward
were young, sometimes looking at the world and we wonder why it has to be that way why the company apparently is so insane. Questions that nag us until late in sleepless nights ... Do we really have to live like this? Why people are treated that way? Why hungry children? Why does that never done nothing to change that? Why many live in poverty and despair? Why is there much despair and so little sense?
For millions of youngsters around the country in the coming weeks will be packing his things and moved to the bedroom and moving on their own. Do not have a curfew or their parents will not be listening to your phone calls. Her classes will not have to do with the following standardized tests and meet people from around the country and the world with different life experiences and points of view. Will be watching their lives and what they will do so where it goes. Be imagining how their relationship with the world.
remember when I started college in a big city. I looked for people who were questioning things that were dissatisfied with the way things are. I looked for people who have a burning desire to find answers to what I was spinning ... only to find that he was living in times where such things were NOT taking place among students. And even today the student environment at universities is virtually dead in terms of questioning, debate and resistance are concerned.
put
As the recent statement by the Revolutionary Communist Party of America: "And despite the good intentions of many teachers, the system education is a bitter insult to many youth and a means of discipline and instruction in general. While there is some encouragement, especially in some 'elite' schools, for students to think in 'non-conformists', provided that in the end, this still conforms to the fundamental needs and interests of the system, "in general rather give them a real capacity to learn about the world and seek the truth wherever it leads, in a spirit of critical thinking and scientific curiosity, molded and twisted so that education serves the commandments of the capital, warrants and continuing relationships oppression in society and the world as a whole, and reinforce the dominant position of the already powerful "(" The revolution we need ... The leadership we have, "Revolution # 170, July 19, 2009).

Opening the environment, letting oxygen

We can not change all that without a revolution. But if we change the environment of universities, starting here and now. And that's what we intend to do this fall, when the revolution comes to colleges near you! Let's clear the suffocating atmosphere and change the terms of debate. We will bring a new message and powerful and controversial appeal, "The revolution we need ... The leadership we have, and we're asking that you take a look ... discuss it with us ... and participate in open debate.

This message and call boldly declares "this is NOT the best possible world ... and NOT have to live like that. " This shows that causes unnecessary suffering on this planet that is necessary and possible a revolution that will sweep all this and establish a socialist society with the goal of a communist world. This call brings people the leadership of Bob Avakian, Chairman of the Revolutionary Communist Party, United States Together.

But what you said to most people, you think most people in this country, what "everyone knows" ... is that socialism and communism are horrible. The reality is that you have been lied to. He has lied about what is socialism and communism, lied about what happened in the past when socialist societies existed in the Soviet Union and China, and lied about the possibility not only to build from these experiences but to do much better. And to be honest, people have accepted those lies too easily.

When I entered college, the only thing I knew about China as a socialist was the kind of universal history of the tenth year in which the teacher assigned us to read the book Wild Swans. I did not think that communism was a good thing after reading it, certainly there is nothing worthwhile in the fight. But by the time I entered college and was skeptical about the American mainstream and critical thinking was something that made me feel I did not know enough about Mao and China to conclude that it was "common opinion "about China's revolution. And indeed I did not like capitalism and when I met the communist revolutionaries, they had convincing arguments about why world is this way and discussed on the basis that communism was the solution. So I went to where the Communists I knew and told them I was interested in learning more about the revolutions of the past.

As he learned more about this story and some studies and some discussion, I learned that anything I said was true. I also learned that the book Wild Swans was only part of the literature promoted by the United States and the Chinese government to distort, lie and slander to Mao and the Cultural Revolution in China, to justify the restoration of capitalism in China. (For an analysis of what really was the Cultural Revolution should check out the series that we publish in our print edition from # 175, September 6, 2009, a talk and questions and answers, Dongping Han, a Chinese man who lived in the countryside during the Cultural Revolution and Unknown author of The Cultural Revolution - Life and Change in a Chinese Village [Unknown Cultural Revolution. Life and Change in a village in China]).

One thing the statement, "The revolution we need ... The direction we have, "answered is what exactly is communism. "A world where people work and fight together for the common good ... that all contribute to society what they can and receive they need to live a life worthy of a human being ... in that it not be divisions among the people they govern and oppress some other, robbing not only the means for a dignified life but also the knowledge and means to better understand the world and take action to change it. " To burn the debate

But some say: "Look, communism is a good idea, but it never works in practice." Others argue that such a world is simply not possible due to "human nature" innate that never changes. Many argue that communism is totalitarian or no freedom of expression nor a role for the individual. There are answers

concrete facts, analysis and substance to refute these allegations. And this generation has not had the opportunity to hear these responses seriously. Urges open debate on these important issues, especially in universities. Defend and spread the truth about this and explain how we can do better and go beyond those earlier revolutions is a big part of what the leadership of Bob Avakian and you have to check what he says about this in revolutiontalk.net ( Bilingual site.)

And the facts about the past, present and future of this revolution also be the focus of a speaking tour at universities this fall. This tour will feature Raymond Lotta, Revolutionary expert on China and communism and the leader of the "Setting the Record Straight" (thisiscommunism.org, English site). We intend this talk have a great impact on universities, which "raise the ceiling" of the horizons of the people and the environment electrice debate on a whole different future. And you have to be part of it, checking out the DVD of Bob Avakian ... deep into the talk of Raymond Lotta (revolutionbooksnyc.org/Lotta4-23-09.mp3, audio in English) ... and seeking and demanding answers everyone, even, indeed especially, we Communists ... and refusing to be confined to the common opinion.
Make a Difference ... for the better

With that we're back to the question of whether one can affect things in the world or not. Yes you can, but not the way it is and definitely not by way of defending the system that is the problem. Obama has called today's generation to take a "spirit of service." This encompasses many things, volunteer work at the local level to register for the Peace Corps and join the military.

But what does it mean in practice? I saw many students to the inauguration of Obama, getting in that wave, volunteering, watching all the videos in YouTube celebrities and artists who told us optimistic that the change has already arrived. At one level, I can understand why this is appealing. Today people do not want to participate in the mentality of "me first" and to compete or die. Especially students and young people want to participate in improving the world.

But all that the "spirit of service" fits well within the parameters to leave the world as it is. At that level, that is disturbing. What does this system work, keep this system going and to kill and die for him in the U.S. military carried out crimes of all kinds around the world? The RCP statement explains:

"This is a system capitalist-imperialism ... a system in which American imperialism is the most oppressive superpower and most monstrous ... a system driven by a relentless drive for profit that brings horror after horror, a nightmare seemingly without end, for the overwhelming majority of humanity: poverty and misery ... torture and rape ... Generalized domination and degradation of women everywhere ... wars, invasions and occupations ... murders and massacres ... planes, missiles, tanks and U.S. soldiers, who bombard people in faraway lands while they sleep at home or carry out their daily activities, shatter their young children, reap the lives of men and women in the prime of life, or in old age, felled by kicking the doors of their homes and take them to crawl at night ... while in the United States itself the police harass, brutalize and kill young people on the streets of urban areas, again and again, and then spew their insults unsettling, insisting that it is 'justified' as to say that these Young people are not human beings, who have no right to life and deserve neither respect nor future. "

So I say, ask yourself if Obama talk about the "spirit of service": "At whose service and the service of what?
Just what is "realistic"?

Some say: "Well, maybe you are right ... But the revolution is not really possible. " But nothing is more unrealistic to believe that efforts to patch small step a patient can withstand the tsunami of suffering that the system requires to function, the endless exploitation of billions spray that support, the future spiritual death shortened and that the system to harass people in every corner of the planet, and now the looming environmental catastrophe.

In fact, believe that a spirit of service to this country will change the world not only unrealistic but is harmful, because in fact you misdirecting anger and frustration and put their energies and efforts to serve the system that is the problem!

What is realistic, what the world needs is a revolution. The idea that this is not possible no matter how desirable, is another big lie and deny that we propose this fall with substance, facts and imagination. The fact that we have a leader like Bob Avakian who has gone deeply into these important issues greatly increases the chances of making this kind of revolution, and once again we urge you to check how it is through the DVD Revolution: Why It's Necessary, Why It's Possible, What It Is and through his autobiography (in English) From Ike to Mao and Beyond: My Journey from Mainstream America to Revolutionary Communist. Here's the important thing: we want you to be part of all this, checking it, participating in this debate to the level you want, asking questions and offering their ideas and actions, following the truth wherever it leads and being part of doing this is a matter of great prominence.

Finally, we will talk and work with you and work with you for you to take action against crimes of this system while we discuss and debate the source and solution. Join us on 5 and 6 October to take action against torture and war conducted by the U.S. government ... join us 10 and October 11 to fight for the rights of gay people in Washington, DC ... and participate in resisting the October 22 National Day of Protest to Stop Police Brutality, Repression and the Criminalization of a Generation.

Each generation leaves its mark on the world. Is this another passing generation, accepting the status quo, making peace with the system and to accept it? Or will this be the generation that breaks it and has a core of people who take the revolution? Think what it would mean that students talk about the most important issues facing humanity, not only in a low voice from a few or only with the rare and important teachers who are not afraid to encourage critical thinking and challenge conventional wisdom, but all this would happen on a large scale in many universities. Imagine the radical ideas of revolutionary change, a whole new world, were in the university environment and have a place.

All this matters now when people come in various ways to the revolutionary movement that begins not only in universities but in prisons, the ghettos and barrios, towns and suburbs, which extends throughout society and comes alive. The revolutionaries are here and there is something new to start. You have the duty it himself and the people of the world: check this and participate.
